A Global Art Movement for Peace & Interdependence
Over 12,000 people across 100 cities have signed the Declarations of Interdependence — a living artwork and a call to end violence, end prejudice, and achieve respect for all.
What Is the Declaration of Interdependence?
Created by artist Roland Poska between 1988–1994, the Declarations of Interdependence are large-scale lithographs that serve as participatory art projects. People sign the artwork with their name and birth date if they agree:
“To end violence, end prejudice, and achieve respect for all.”
Each signature becomes part of a global tapestry — transforming participants from observers into co-creators of peace.
How It Works
We bring the art to your community, campus, or coalition.
Participants sign their name and birthday directly on the Declaration.
Events often include dialogue, art, storytelling, and local community-building.

With 10 of 15 Declarations already hosted by partners including Stanford University, Refugees International, Charter for Compassion India, Rotary Club of Calgary, Peace Center at Northwest Vista College, the Nobel Peace Prize Conference, and American University, only 5 opportunities remain to bring this historic project to your community.
This series celebrates our shared humanity and intentionally dissolves the imaginary lines that divide us. Through creative action, cultural exchange, and collaborative events, the Borderless Series connects people across cities, countries, and continents—each signature an act of interdependence and hope.
